For the second time this week, I had chocolate chip cookies, this time in the RGGU dorm while watching The Colbert Report. The election is serving as a good excuse for us to act American, it seems. My friend Taylor got a multi-pass for the Daily Show and I got one for the Colbert Report because this is the best time of the four year cycle for political pundits and we have to take advantage of it while we can. Afterwards we promise to go back to being diligent Russian students.

One of many pre-election parties, but the only one thus far to have chocolate chip cookies. Brown sugar and vanilla are nowhere to be found, the plain sugar is coarser, the flour and oil somehow different, and chocolate bars have to be substituted for chocolate chips, so American cookies really are a treat when someone tries out a new way to make them.
