I went on a long walk today after a day inside and there was enough powdery snow that I could see the path of headlights, but it melted the moment it touched any surface. I’m more than ready for some real snow to arrive.

We did have a slushy snow in late November, but it didn’t last very long. Snow plows are rusting all over the city, shovels are propped uselessly against walls, my $10 boots I’ve been saving to stomp snow in are getting dusty in the corner.
